The PupHed Story will be opening on Saturday 4 February with around twenty artists participating. There will be workshops at Quirk-ability on three consecutive Saturdays so make sure you book in asap.
During January the Quirky Christmas Show continues. Come in and cast a vote for the peoples’ choice prize.
Renovations have been carried out on the last two weekends and we are creating a new look stock display for all our amazing handmade items.

Coming up at Quirkability – our end of year group show… please bring your works into the shop this 7, 8, 9 Dec to be in the running for prizes of art supplies generously donated by Laurissa at Eckersley’s Art supplies and fabulous Matisse Australian Colours acrylics direct from the manufacturers Derivan!
Opening night is Thursday 15 Dec from 6-8pm so come along and witness the awarding of the Quirkability 2011 Trophy and prizes
And our first show for the New Year in association with Pinspot Gallery will involve Wez Champion’s puppet head concept and your creative interpretations thereof. Pick up blank PupHeds from Pinspot Wed 14 Dec between 5-6pm and be a part of the story…
Parra City Council Over 55′s Pop Up

showing at Quirkability 26 Nov – 10 Dec 2011 is an exhibition of work produced by members of Parramatta City Council’s Over 55′s Leisure and Learning group. These are diverse and exciting pieces, an inspiration to us all.
The opening event on Monday 28 November was well attended with an official welcome and launch from Lord Mayor of Parramatta, Councillor Lorraine Wearne and guest speaker Sophia Kouyoumdjian, Coordinator of Parramatta Artists Studios.

We are currently installing works for Saturday 8′s opening. Gathered Together has garnered entries from 27 artists from all over Sydney and beyond. Opening at Quirk-ability, Connections Arcade 3pm – 5pm this Saturday, come along and meet the artists, check out the exciting array of diverse works and media. Free entry and food and drinks and delightful company!

Sculpture Workshop with Adam Galea

Adam’s exhibition at Quirk-ability has ended but he will be back with us this month to demonstrate some of the techniques that go in to his sculpture making. Come along to learn how to cast your own small sculpture!
In this workshop, participants will learn the fundamental principles of modelling, mould making and casting over two consecutive Saturdays with sculptor Adam Galea. The subject will be a male or female torso which can be interpreted creatively.
